Skin lightening at The Beautology Shop is a cosmetic service intended to address the appearance of darker areas of skin, such as underarms, the bikini area, inner thighs, elbows and knees. These are not medical treatments, and our beauty professionals do not diagnose or treat skin conditions.

What to expect

Most clients book a package because cosmetic lightening is gradual and cumulative. Changes appear over a series of sessions rather than after one appointment. Individual results vary based on skin type, the area being treated, consistency of appointments and home care. No specific outcome is promised or guaranteed.

Before your appointment

• Avoid sun exposure and tanning in the area before and between sessions.
• Pause exfoliating acids and retinoids in the area for several days beforehand.
• Wait until skin is fully calm if you have recently waxed or shaved the area.
• Disclose all medications, skin conditions and allergies on your consent form.
• Use sun protection on exposed areas between appointments.
