New Client Information

What to expect

You will be welcomed into a private treatment room and your beauty professional will review your consent form and confirm the service you booked before anything begins. Ask questions at any point — first appointments usually run a little longer to leave room for them. Please arrive a few minutes early so your appointment can start on time.

Appointment preparation

• Complete your consent form before you arrive.
• Shower beforehand and arrive with clean, product-free skin in the service area.
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
• Let us know about medications, skin conditions, allergies or recent treatments.
• Bring a form of payment for any balance due at the studio.

Service preparation

• Waxing: grow hair to about a quarter inch, avoid retinoids and exfoliating acids in the area for several days, and skip sun exposure or tanning right before your appointment.
• Facials: arrive without heavy makeup where possible and tell us what you currently use on your skin.
• Skin lightening: avoid sun exposure in the treatment area and pause exfoliating products beforehand.
• Body sculpting & sauna: come hydrated and wear comfortable clothing.

Parking

Policies

• All appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time.
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations or reschedules made within 24 hours of the appointment.
• Same-day cancellations or attempts to reschedule on the day of the appointment require a new deposit in order to rebook.
• Clients are allowed up to two cancellations or reschedules. After two cancellations or reschedules, the client will no longer be eligible to book appointments in advance. At that point, walk-ins will be the only available option, subject to availability.
• Failure to arrive for a scheduled appointment without notice will be considered a no-show and will count as a cancellation.
• A non-refundable deposit is required upon booking.
• By booking an appointment, clients acknowledge and agree to this policy.

Consent requirement

A completed consent form is required before your first service. It covers your health history, waxing history, photo preferences and your acknowledgment of our appointment policy. Your information is submitted securely and is never displayed publicly.

Booking & payment

Appointments are booked online through our booking system, and a non-refundable deposit is required upon booking. Walk-ins are accepted, subject to availability. We accept Cash, Apple Pay, Visa, Mastercard, Cash App, Zelle. Where Cash App or Zelle is used, the payment terms of those services apply. If a client is determined to be unsuitable for a service after payment and a refund is approved, applicable third-party payment-processing fees may apply — The Beautology Shop does not control fees charged by third-party payment processors.
